Last Weight Check

This morning we took Bradley to the doctor for a weight check and he had gained 3 1/2 oz in a week. The doctor said we do not have to come weekly anymore since I have a scale at home unless I see a drop in his weight at home. YAY!!

This month I really slacked on taking Bradley's monthly pictures. I finally broke down and did it today. I was really hoping for something a little different than what I have done every month so far but it just didn't work out this month. I was afraid if I waited any longer I wouldn't get any three month old pictures so today I made sure I got them done.

Less Than Noteworthy

Today was one of our not so good days. I planned for us to go to splash pad and have a picnic lunch which is what we did but I have one child who doesn't mind and two children who were whining. I did have one baby who was either asleep or smiling most of the time there. So after a short lived less than pleasant trip we returned home and spent the rest of the afternoon resting.

Sprinkler Fun

Today was a stay at home day, but we still had tons of fun!! This morning the kids went outside at 8 and by 8:15 they were all back inside because "it's too hot." They were still tired from yesterday too. Noah laid down and watched a movie while the girls played in the sunroom. We did some studying and reading then ate lunch. The morning went by fast!!

This afternoon Bradley was fussy and it takes us about 45 minutes to get ready to get in the pool even though we are only going in the back yard. It looked like it was going to rain and I didn't want to spend 45 minutes getting ready just for them to not get to go swimming so I told them to play with the water guns. It wasn't 15 minute later and Alyssa came to the door saying she was soaking wet. Noah decided to squirt her with the hose so I told them to play in the water hose. They had a blast and played for about 3 hours. I have already been asked if they can do it again tomorrow.

During nap time I cleaned the living room and the kids' bathroom. I love fresh cut flowers so I went outside and got me some pretty blue hydrangeas.

Happy Memorial Day

Today we stayed at home. I got Noah's room and the girls' room clean. I am hoping I can get both bathrooms cleaned tomorrow.

The kids played with water guns and played in the pool for a little while. We grilled hamburgers and had homemade fries and sweet potato fries. I am so in trouble when Noah is a teenager, he ate two cheeseburgers and a pile of fries. All and all it was a fun and productive day.

First Swim of the Season

We started the day out by going to church. I am so glad we are getting back to going. I really like Waterstone and hearing the kids talk about how much they enjoyed it and wanting to go back makes me so happy.

After church we got a pool from Fred's, had some lunch and then during nap/rest time Adam set up the pool. When the kids got up they were so antsy to get in it. It's a lot of work to get four kids dressed and covered with sunscreen and get our stuff together just to go swimming in the back yard. But when we finally got out there they had a blast.

I was hoping the water would have warmed up more than it had but it was still fun for the kids. They splashed and swam and played so hard.

I laid a blanket in Bradley's carseat so he could lay in it since it has the visor part that keeps the sun off of him and it has some where to attach his fan. He did pretty good other than getting hot. He loves to take a bath and always does so well in the bathtub so I really wanted to let him in the water. We finally decided to touch his toes to it to see how he liked it but it was short lived. He started crying. Hopefully when the water is warmer he will like it better.

Lowe's and Park

This morning we took the kids to Lowe's for the build and grow clinic that they have. Today they built ice cream trucks and Bradley slept while they were hammering.

Then we went to the Pleasant Grove park for the Anderson family reunion. The kids all had a lot of fun playing. Bradley did pretty good. As long as we stay in the shade with the wind blowing and his fan it's not too bad. Although I think for our next park trip I am going to take a cool wet cloth to wipe his face off to help cool him off some more.

Library and Park

This morning we went to the library and each kid picked out six books to check out. Then we sat outside on the swing for a little bit. When we got home the kids read some of their books while I fed Bradley and fixed them some lunch.

After lunch time we went to the park. I wasn't too sure how Bradley would do but I bought him a fan for the stroller the other day and he did better than the big kids. It wasn't 30 minutes and they were already whining they were hot or needed to go to the bathroom. They played for a little while, Bradley slept and I did some work.

I think my kids are working on "who can get the most boo boos". Ok so maybe they just think their scooters are stunt scooters. I go to the bathroom for two minutes and before I can make it back to the living room Alyssa is at the bathroom door telling me that Noah fell and blood is everywhere. The neighbor helped him up and towards the house. Once we got him cleaned up I learned it wasn't as bad as it looked, he just has a small hole beside his eye but a bandaid and about 15 minutes to cool off and he was back at it.

Suck Study

Today Bradley had to go for his suck study. We had some errands to run before his appointment. We also went for his weekly weight check today. He had gained an ounce since last Wednesday. Everything was normal with the sucking study. The last few days he has been eating better. We really think it has to do with his bowels and finding the right amount of the meds to give him.

This morning before the sucking study we just hung out around the house. Noah fell and got his first boo boo. Alyssa had these sticker nails and she put some of them on. Taylor just hung out and played.

Lazy Day at Home

Each week we are going to have a few days that we don't go anywhere. Today I told the kids was going to be one of those days. I decided instead of those days being filled up with "go play" I put together binders with activities in them. They are going to do some reading, writing, spelling, sight words and math. I have kept all the sheets from first and second grade with spelling, sight words and what they did each week so I am going to have them review and get ahead for next year. Today they each decorated the front of those binders and practiced writing their letters. I am hoping they will master writing all their letters neatly and the right way.

Even Bradley agreed with it being a lazy day, he slept most of the morning. He would wake up to eat but once he was done back to sleep he went.

I know playing outside is going to result in many boo boos. Today we had our first of many. Alyssa fell and scrapped herself up. It's funny how quickly some bandaids and kisses make things better though.

Another thing we are going to do this summer is the kids are going to do some cooking. Taylor baked some cookies over the weekend so tonight Noah baked some cookies that he picked out. He did really good too. He mixed it all up, rolled it into little balls and dipped them in the sprinkles.

Let Summer Begin

Today started our summer vacation!! Even though Thursday is the kids last official day of school we decided to start a few days early. They had Award's Day at school today and I checked them out afterwards, they have asked not to go the next two days so they aren't going. I had some errands to run today so they went with me and we had lots of fun. Usually shopping with them is a battle but today they had money to shop so it went rather well.

Alyssa wanted some Monster High stuffed animals so we were going to Toys'r'us but she spent most of her money at Wal-Mart on craft stuff. We went to Target and they had the stuffed animals but she only had enough money left for one. When we went to Build-A-Bear she wants some pink high heels and a purse for her bear so needless to say she was broke after that.

Noah wanted to go to the Lego Store. But at Wal-Mart he found spy gear. When we went to Target he got an Angry Bird's slap bracelet. When we went to Build-A-Bear he got skates for his bear. Needless to say after that he was broke too.

Taylor I am very proud of. She started out with the least amount of money. She knew she wanted a Build-A-Bear since she has never been before and even though she saw stuff at Wal-Mart and Target that she wanted she didn't spend her money. She got a bear and glasses for her bear at Build-A-Bear.

The kids did pretty good while I shopped and tried on clothes. Of course Bradley was getting to be really fussy so I only went in one store and only tried on two things but they still did good.

Tomorrow we are going to have a relaxing day at home and we are going to talk about our summer plans!! I so love being Mommy!!
